Rotorua attractions

Only 15 minutes drive from Rotorua City and 45 minutes from Tauranga, the entertainment possibilities while staying at Kaska Lodge are endless!

Trout Fishing
Trout fishing is just a hop skip and a jump away. Beautiful Lake Rotorua is just one of the many lakes in Rotorua that offers trout fishing opportunities. Many lakes in the area are world renowned for the size and quality of their fish.

Golf
For the golfing enthusiasts - partake in a leisurely 9 hole golf game at the nearby Hamurana golf course.

Back to Nature
Walk through the Kaska Lodge trees, enjoy our peaceful garden and natural spring ... pat and play with our sheep, they are very friendly.

Take a peaceful stroll through the redwood grove to visit the Hamurana Springs. Watch the crystal clear waters of the springs as they push forth thousands of litres of water and take in the natural beauty of the area.

The nearby Rainbow Springs are also worth a visit. These remarkable springs feature a walk through a stand of bush and hundreds of native ferns filtering light. Trout pools include Rainbow, Brown and North American trout with underwater viewing of some of the largest trout to be seen anywhere.

Adventure
If it’s adventure you’re seeking, the nearby Agrodome Leisure Park hosts the exciting and adrenalin pumping activities like the Zorb, Bungy/Swoop, Agrojet and FreeFallExtreme.

The Agrodome also gives international visitors an extra ordinary, real hands-on, live interactive experience of farming in New Zealand
Or why not take a gondola ride up the SkyLine for breathtaking panoramic views of Rotorua City, Lake Rotorua and the surrounding area. And what better way to return to the bottom than on a luge!

Shopping
The Ngongotaha shops are a short drive away, and the Rotorua township has a myriad of souvenir shops and superb restaurants.
